Children in the Workplace

It is inappropriate for children and other relatives of employees to remain in the employee’s workplace during working hours. In addition, university property whether owned or leased should not be used in lieu of making appropriate childcare arrangements elsewhere. This policy is intended to minimize potential liability to Washington University, avoid risk of harm to children and reduce distractions and disruptions affecting employee productivity.
