Bo Zhang, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Developmental Biology, has received a five-year, $1,890,000 R35 Maximizing Investigator’s Research Award (MIRA) for Early Stage Investigators from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of General Medical Sciences, beginning August 1, 2021, for his project entitled Transcriptional regulation of domesticated transposable elements-derived promoters in human genome.
